💙Acras de morue💙 See this illustration in my newest essay for RENDERED. Similar to Puerto Rican #bacalaitos, the history of acras tells us a lot about our past + present. Check out my #illustratedfoodhistory newsletter, RENDERED. You know where to find the link👍🏼 "This is Our Place." Cyanotype + watercolor + ink. Another mixed media piece, using gingko leaves and pressed flowers to create an imaginary flowerscape. I love creating my own world in my art, where I make + break the rules of nature. Purple gingko leaf? Why not! 🌈🌻🌺 Wildflower Cyanotype--I just love how this piece came out. I love creating my own imaginary gardenscapes, painted in a freestyle, automatic style. This creation is on sale now in my Etsy shop--I painted it during an Instagram live session. I have also opened cyanotype commissions! See my Story Highlights or go directly to my Etsy shop for more info. 💐Nasturtium💐 My illustration for this month's narrated essay, on the history of edible flowers. Available now for paid subscribers on my Substack newsletter, RENDERED. 🧡 "Feel." My latest self-portrait, in tones of orange. Get lost in my hair, get lost in my gaze, all while wondering what I'm thinking about. There's plenty I have to say, but you'll just have to see it in person to know the full story. 🌟🐠Golden Betta Fish🐠🌟 I took an abstract painting that has been waiting for final touches... and I decided a betta fish would make a perfect addition. Shimmery watercolor + inks in various shades bring this fishbaby to life. I love how it came out! This painting is available for sale on my webstore, link in bio!🐠 🌱🔷️ Introducing: a new medium into my art practice: Cyanotype! These are my first attempts, on paper and fabric. I decided to make myself a coaster on one, and use watercolor on another. Looking forward to working more with cyanotype, as long as we have sunny days.🌞 🍒F🍇R🍉U🍍I🍌T🍒 I decided to add some ink to define the watercolor fruits, and I think it came out nicely... a refreshing departure from what I usually do. I'm glad I didn't give up on this piece!! All I needed was a little time to think about it. Now to spray with UV fixative the next non-rainy day we have, and I'll put this baby up for sale. DM if interested🧡 🌼Golden Sunflower Bouquet🌼 A new addition to my online shop, I love this shot that emphasizes the shimmer of the gold watercolor! Gold watercolor + loose floral + splashes of color = happy Lari.
